KIRKUS REVIEW

Dr. Rubin (David and Lisa, etc.) has written a very short book about dieting without an extra corpuscle: all sense and no allure. You are physically and psychically sick (as well as ugly) if you are overweight and you can lose weight if you eat less and less fattening foods (no special diet; no pills; lots of carrots and pickles and tomatoes). You will need more sleep; exercise; you may go through a depressive period (headaches, low sexual interest); and some questions and answers and a glossary complete. Hard sense and a by no means soft sell which the publishers think will work. It's the right season.
