CHRISTMAS GIFT

It is an old pattern, and tried and true for the sentimental-minded at the holiday season. But it is not quite well enough done to go over -- it hasn't the spark that gave Lloyd Douglas' Home for Christmas, its almost universal appeal. A long short story, with all the homey accessories, of a lonely grandmother facing a childless Christmas dinner -- and of how her granddaughter rounded up the family. Young love and old blossom, and all is merry.
