THE CASE ON CLOUD NINE

Freud once said that if you give psychoanalysis your little finger, it will soon have your whole hand and of course Lucy Freeman has given it both of hers -- now in this series of mysteries presided over by Dr. Ames. Vietnam ex-hero Thomas Duncan is remanded to him for analysis for two years, instead of prison, and as he comes down from cloud nine, thoughts surface up to free-associate the killing of his current girl with that of his last. Like before, you can read it with one eye and a susceptible third ear.
