KIRKUS REVIEW

Ian Firth again, stalking the Balkans, after the arrest of Dick Taventor, a journalist, also known as a joker and believed to have helped one Zoran Malic escape. He is a scientist much wanted by that euphemism--The People's Government--but who is he really, and what is he? Firth finds him hiding out in the Marshes, effects an exchange (Taventor for Malic) but ends up retrieving both men... Unoriginal but processed with a thin-lipped masculine competence.
