KIRKUS REVIEW

Sound guidance on a plane which permits understanding without condescension, this is an intelligent, psychological approach to the question of maturity. Serious casework illustrates the points made and raise it above the level of the uplift books. The advantages of maturity which brings freedom, contentment, security; its criteria, intellectual, emotional, social and moral. Escapes from maturity such as fantasy, solitude, fanaticism, sophistication, invalidism, and the solutions which comprise living with yourself as you are, and accepting the world as it is. The war she sees as a world regression into immaturity, but with benefits to offset its evils. A book of real merit in a new field.
