Hominisation is the thirteenth title in the ""Quaestiones Disputat In it, Father Rahner treats, from the theologian's point of viev, the quest biological origins of the human race, explaining the Church's official that point, filling in some of the lacunae in that teaching, and discussing cular whether there can be any real opposition between ""natural"" and ""theological anthropology. The concluding section considers some of the practical probl philosophy and theology that must be faced if an evolutionary mode of accepted by the theologian. The work is intended to accomplish a putting of the basic difficulties in this question, and to suggest possible direction pursued in arriving at solutions, rather than to deal thoroughly with the issue of evolution. It is a book that, by reason of its subject and of its demands in the reader at least a general background in theology. To that audience, including teachers, however, Hominization is recommended as the tive delineation of an increasingly agitated open question.
