Autobiography of a Mexican lad who at 11 was a soldier in the Mexican rebel army -- and who, after graduation from Hollywood High School became an American citizen. In between he was twice a deserter, twice reinstated. He picked cotton in Arizona, he got his education here and there- and had some emotional education on the side. His life history has unconscious drama and humor.
