An untouched up account of an old-timer, this goes back to 1885 and Montana where for some time he joined the L U Bar, follows down through the years and a life of buying and trading horses, on his own. There are the days and the nights on the range; the roping and handling of steer; the hunting of antelopes; coyotes and bears and wolves; and the many years of handling horses, wild and gentle, in a casual chronicle, of indigenous interest.
