KIRKUS REVIEW

Mystery -- adventure -- Western Colorado -- Indians --gold -- the traditional thrills are all there, in milder form than the average frontier tale. There's a plausible enough plot, which occasionally overstretches coincidence, but all in all it is a readable enough tale of an eventful year in the lives of 13-year old Margie and 17-year old Tom. Writing better than average, and factual content well disguised.
