BARNABY AND THE HORSES

Barnaby loved the horses on his farm, but one day he left the slip-rails down, and the horses disappeared from the meadow. In his search, Barnaby is diverted often by the calm lovely distractions of the river bank, but he is always reminded of his quest, and on he goes to a successful recovery. The poetic rhythms of the text, and the artful rendering of these free-flowing illustrations by Alie Buitenkant, provide a pleasurable relaxation similar to that Barnaby experiences.
