An old favorite for browsing and reference that first saw the light of day in 1877 has once again been revised and updated. It starts with Nefertiti (cirea 1390-1360 B.C.) and ends with Queen Elizabeth (crowned in 1953). Between these two are fourteen more whose reigns marked and influenced history, such as Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, Napolean's Josephine and Russia's Catherine the Great among others.
