KIRKUS REVIEW

Dan and his bulldozer--not the talking, large-eyed variety, just a yellow machine with his name, ""Bulldozer Manufacturing Company Limited"" written across one side-- lived in the bush country of Australia. Dan dreamed about living in the busy city by the sea, so one day he set out, city-bound, on the dozer. Tired from the rumbling journey, Dan got the levers fouled up; the dozer went joyously gr-r-ranging through busy streets, leaving abroad path of wreckage in his wake. And so, Dan and the dozer returned, in disgrace, to the quiet country and were content.
