YOUR TRIP INTO SPACE by Lynn Poole

YOUR TRIP INTO SPACE

By

Pub Date: Sept. 1st, 1953
Publisher: McGraw-Hill- Whittlesey House

A reliable basic introduction to the stages and aspects of the first trip to the moon- by the producer of the Johns Hopkins Science Review which has had outstanding recognition. Covering the same ground that Fletcher Pratt and Jack Coggins did in By Space Ship to the Moon (1952), a livelier book than this, Mr. Poole writes with authority about our atmosphere, hazards in space, space suits, physical requirements, elementary rocket ship mechanics, building the first space station, and the trip to the moon. At times his personalization of the account (he prefaces almost every noun with ""your"") is an irritant, but on the other hand this subject has a sure fascination for a young male market and the sound information is a necessary counter- balance for all young Vidiots.
