KIRKUS REVIEW

The Gausses are well known for their nature stories, and they know their Colorado background. This is a picture-story-book about a black colt that did not want to be tamed and taught to work -- and that tried to run away to join the wild horses of the hills. He soon found that life wasn't so simple after all. The pictures are better than the text -- but there is always a market for horse stories.
