AT THE TURNING

This little book is a thoughtful essay on the place of religion in contemporary civilization. It comes from the pen of a distinguished Jewish theologian. While it speaks to the condition of his fellow religionists his message is applicable to Christians as well as Jews. The point that the author is making that religion to be effective must be personal, involving a direct relationship between God and man has been characteristic of all prophetic religion, Jewish and Christian.
