WOMAN'S MYSTERIES by M. Esther Harding

WOMAN'S MYSTERIES

By

Publisher: Longmans, Green

Dr. Harding's previous book, The Way of All Women, was intended for the average woman reader, a practical, sane, constructive examination of woman's problem in the modern world, and her relation to herself, to other women, to men. One of the best on the subject that has appeared. Now comes this. A book for a very limited, and distinctly esoteric audience -- mystical, symbolic, psychological. A deep searching into the ancient myths as a part of racial inheritance responsible for many of the subconscious motives and instincts and traditions. The moon as a mythological symbol through the ages -- Greek, Jewish, Oriental, Babylonian, Egyptian; the myths touching upon it and expounding its meaning; and the application today in modern variations on ancient taboos, modern rationalizations.
