THE BASE-STEALER

Baseball high spots, and activities with New York City's P.A.L. feature in this energetic sports story for juniors. Harry East lived in New York but spent his summers in the West where he played baseball on his home team. He is, therefore, at loose ends when he has to stay in the city for a summer. But Harry soon found out about P.A.L., and is accepted for a spot on the Robins, and it is Harry's skill at base-stealing which wins the important game of the season. Some fast game action and the work of the Police Athletic League puts this in the first division. Rugged sketches in black and white pace the story.
