The knights of the order of Mathven save the city of Viriconium and its young queen from the depredations of the Northmen in this brief synthesis of science fiction and sword/sorcery fantasy. The North's chief weapon is an army of brain-stealing golems and there's action and some mystery in discovering where they came from and how to turn them off. A little sketchy but otherwise satisfactory.
