AMORE DI SPAGNA: Love for Spain

By

Publisher: Ceschina

Mr. Puccini, though an Italian, understands and loves Spain genuinely and this book could be called a biography of Spain. There is little of the historical, economical, or social aspects of the country in this book. It is more a description of Spain, its topography, principal cities and their outstanding features, and a portrait of the people. He goes back to the famous characters of past times, Cervantes, Lope, Loyola, Costa, Ibanez -- since the study deals with pre-revolutionary Spain. Of the revolution itself little is said, but there is an impartial forecast of civil war which he interprets as inevitable because of the past.
