Up to a point this is a clever idea, well carried out. A puppy gets a cinder in his eye, and has his eyes bandaged. And this is what he heard. Good game idea for little children, association of pictures with sounds and things. But here is where it falls down. There are pictures for a few of the sounds -- but not for all. More pictures are needed. Then the last half of the book contains the things he did not hear, which is a bit deep for the tiny tots. Not for the average child.
