THE WICKED GOLDSMITH

Stories of India, but not along conventional lines. The stories, in some instances, have more folk quality than one would expect, a homespun, close to the soil quality. Others are drawn from India's great epics, and characters of heroes and rogues go through the group. There are beasts and demons, men and gods, good people and bad. There's the close linking of the natural and the supernatural, of love and hate, and again and again, a touch of real humor.
