On this particular summer, she sees with dread, her best friend, Susan, going off on the train, and is afraid she is going to be lonesome. But Cousin Dick comes for a visit; she and her doll have an accident; she makes a new friend; she has a trip to Boston -- all in all an eventful summer. This measures up well with the other stories of this appealing little girl.
