LITTLE GREY GOWN

Each story she does is better than the one before. I loved Benjie's Hat. I like the way she handles the Quaker background of two generations ago with understanding and humor and sympathy. She manages to tug at the heartstrings at the same time. This is a story of a little Quaker girl, of her pet lamb, of the grey gown and the poem she was to recite -- and of how the orphan child took both from her, quite innocently.
