Another record of a family, this time the Ridgelys of Delaware, over a century and a half, records preserved in letters from Colonial and Federal Delaware. Editorial judgment has chosen for publication letters reflecting the social and political life:-letters from parents to children; from young people away on visits or at school; letters describing social doings, family affairs, clothes, friendly and occasionally intimate- for those days-personal bits.
