THE DAY IT RAINED WATERMELONS

Haste makes waste, especially when it comes to delivering watermelons armer O'Dell overslept on the day he was to take his watermelons to market. He leapt out on the wrong side of bed, and rode so fast along the bumpy road that all of his melons came joggling out of his cart. His friends all tried to warn him, but he thought they were asking for favors and was in too much of a hurry to stop the simple but engaging story has been smoothly written in an easy-to-follow text. The red, green, and black pen drawings of the harried farmer are amusing.
