These twenty-seven columns were prepared originally for Redbook magazine in conjunction with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and they combine in a 190 page book from the initial selection of a doctor to the terminal successful delivery. The necessary aspects (fatigue; nausea; work; exercise; diet; special circumstances) are covered by a crew of practicing physicians who provide sensible definition and advice. There's a brief vocabulary and a rather whimsical list of names and their meanings append. New (first time round) mothers provide the prospective market for a new although not very different primer.
