LOG CABIN FAMILY

A pioneer family, the Connors live richly and contentedly in a log cabin on the Illinois prairie. There are neither Indians nor rattlesnakes to spoil this pleasant chronicle of simple living. The country schoolhouse, the covered wagon, and a first edition of David Copparfield are included -- and one particularly fetching child, Lady Bug. The illustrations are few, but lovely -- with the same quality that Grant Wood achieves in his quiet figures.
