Everyone knows that the Titanic was sunk by an iceberg, but few know that ships today are protected from the same fate by a single patrol plane, or that the effort is run by an agency headquartered in New York harbor! Anderson visits with the International Ice Patrol and tells us about other efforts, mostly unsuccessful, to control or exploit icebergs and the ice islands' dimensions and formations alone are breathtaking.
