MAIDA HEATTER'S BEST DESSERT BOOK EVER

Pub Date: Sept. 28th, 1990

Heatter's sixth dessert book comes with the usual detailed, idiot-proof instructions, the same wide range of sweets (here there are sections of chocolate cakes, cakes made in tube pans, ice cream, cookies, fruit desserts, and more), and the same unabashed huffing puffery: Beginning with a rum chocolate truffle roll that her guests call ""illegal, immoral, sexual, sensuous, and more, more, more. . .an exciting chocolate experience,"" Heatter goes on in the same. vein over mocha chiffon cake (""the most glorious of all chiffon cakes. . .ecstasy. . .highly sophisticated. . .spectacular. . .delicious"" and more) and a whole array of temptations--even to some health-foodie entries like tahini carrot cake (""out of this world""). Of course, her fans will sing along.
