NEW FRONTIERS OF RELIGION

By

Publisher: Macmillan

It is strange that two men in the same seminary should publish books so closely allied without planning it. (See report on page 239). Whether Messrs. Richardson and Swift were conscious of the dove-tailing of their respective books we don't know , yet they do. In certain spots they overlap, such as in the history and background, yet on the whole this takes up where the other leaves off -- where it went into the history this gives the social and psychological causes and then launches out into the new frontiers awaiting capture in extremely modern fashion --child study, psychiatry, community efforts, etc. It belongs definitely to the ""educational group."" The social and welfare exponents will be keen on it. Unfortunately, comparatively few churches outside of New York have grown beond the ""dream"" stage on this kind of religious education.
