LEARNING TO RIDE

Santini is probably acknowledged as the greatest teacher of riding in the world today, and here, in one volume, he elucidates his theory and system. The first part of the book is for the rider himself, -- a discussion of tack, of seat, of reins, of basic principles involved in good hands, of the leg: fine points of ""lead"" and ""diagonals""; the use of whip or spur. Gaits and paces; jumping, falling, good form, the hows and whys. Part two is directed to instructors and technical matters involved in riding schools, ring riding, etc. And the final section deals with rules for competition.
