KIRKUS REVIEW

From the proverbial fig leaf to the immediate ""protective concealment"" of factories in your own neighborhood, this is a comprehensive, up to the minute study by an authority. Major Breckenridge is an active Army Engineer, and has written this from the engineer's standpoint, giving scant attention to artists or designers. Nonetheless, he does much to strip ""camouflage"" of its Sunday supplement hokum and present the art as it really is, a craft based on commonsense. He presents contemporary accepted methods, with good illustrations, and supplies a valuable, constructive handbook which will supplement the meagre information on a subject of immediate interest to artists, designers, engineers, architects, horticulturists, painters, photographers, students, artisans, craftsmen.
