KIRKUS REVIEW

We could see it as a TV cartoon, this hard sell humor about Derek Koogar (a real cougar though it's never spelled that way here), a ""movie star"" who drives his (human) director crazy and is demoted to doing television soap commercials. Derek escapes briefly and tricks stagestruck Toby Otter out of his winter store of food, but Toby's friend Maxine Bear turns the tables and soon Derek is back on the job. He'll never make a special.
