Tommy Hambledon of Intelligence and Bagshott of Scotland Yard again to the rescue in an affair involving successive mysterious disappearances, a dual identity, lost German plans for which both Russians and English are eager, and some super-clever Russian crooks, to whom life is just something to be snuffed out if necessary. Fairly routine, but the manhunts and the chases keep one nimble of wit and metaphorically speaking of leg. Workmanlike but uninspired.
