KIRKUS REVIEW

Tommy Hambledon, called in from the Foreign Office, puts his wits to work on the murder of a metallurgical chemist whose ability to make gold has been causing a stir. Much detailed work by alert and watchful subordinates, in England and later Holland, help Hambledon untangle the unrelated stolen vans, hidden diamonds, an abducted, bogus professor and assorted odd people. Polite -- if not pulsating.
