KIRKUS REVIEW

This Spanish national tale is somewhat more complex than Petrouchka. There is, implicit in the story of how the miller and his wife got the better of the governor, a good deal of social commentary, and some humor. There is skillful blend of Spanish music, Russian Choreography in the reproduction. Again illustrated in excellent tune to the text and music.
