KIRKUS REVIEW

Why does a locksmith disappear after opening up a safe in the wall of a house which had once belonged to a rich recluse? Was it empty? And is the message from beyond via a seance (""I could not breathe"") really real? Andrew Bailey, whose too clairvoyant wife foretold her own death and who now heads an Ontario Society for Psychical Research investigates agreeably and all of this is lighter than the thin air it takes place in.
