One for the girleens--a well-filled out story which takes Meg O'Brien from Boston to Abbey Court, her brother's legacy in Ireland. She arrives there to find Patrick in a coffin while other family members are well in evidence: ruthless young Lord Kevin Fletcher; Cormac Fletcher who had run the Court practically into the bog; and his son Sean. Meg is determined to find out who killed Patrick, be it Moonlighters (terrorists), poachers, or any of these killing kin who have a still older penance to repay. The plot is stauncher than most but then there are those words to, well, Fletcherize from enhance to entrance. On the other hand, they'll probably be swallowed whole.
