A BOOK FOR JODAN

Jodan's father made up her name from those of his grandfather Joe and her mother's father Dan, and for a while she and her parents have a warm, snuggly time of it. Then Mother and Daddy start fighting and later separate; Jodan misses her Daddy but when she goes to visit him he gives her a book of photos, notes and memories that he has made just for her. ""I'm really important to you, Daddy, aren't I, even though we're far apart?"" asks Jodan. Perhaps her sentimental story will go down with others in her situation but it's more of a wallow than a comfort, and it won't do much for those whose Daddies really are indifferent.
