LONE BOY

Helena, Montana, in the gold rush days was the scene of the Posey family's efforts to make a living, and of ingenious and warm hearted Ellen Jerusha's activities. Though she destroyed the laundry business of the old Chinese, Jimmy July, she was also the first to befriend him, and it was he who brought great good fortune to the Poseys. Old Dron, a remnant of the hard of camels brought to solve the transportation problem of the gold fields, plays his incongruous part, the race problem is handled sympathetically, and the whole period is pictured with color and humor. There is a good mystery and the story promises an even wider appeal than Miss Hubbard's other books.
