KIRKUS REVIEW

An excellent book for the household which needs to avoid doctor's bills and for the family cut off from ready access to the usual facilities in case of emergency. The authors have given sound basic information on the diagnosis of simple ailments, on danger signals where things may prove not so simple, on when to call a doctor, on home nursing and home treatments, on procedure in case of contagious disease, on preventive methods and emergency treatment. There is something too on diet, child psychology and so on. No frills, no furbelows.
