KIRKUS REVIEW

The story of the rocky paths of matrimony when Cherry, ideal American girl, marries Mike, against the wishes of her family. When Mike loses his job they go back to their respective families until Cherry gets a job to keep things going, and the effect on Mike is disastrous. Eventually, all turns out well for them --she is pregnant and he has work. This is the main story, but subplots cross-sectioning a typical suburban milieu gives a full canvas. Substantial Banning, not too conservative. Good rental.
