KIRKUS REVIEW

Lots of glamour, and no end of luxury for this story of Eve Starr, whose clothes, homes, parties have made her a gracious, legendary figure. Wanting the life of case and privilege she has had for her children, Linda and Charles, Eve is dubious of Linda's marriage to Orin which has been submerged in infidelities, children, and no cash, -- and of Charles' desire to marry Iris, of another background and scornful of his. It takes more than a little heartbreak for Linda, and Charles, to bring the realization to Eve that her life is not for them, and theirs their own... Assured and alluring, this one's for rent.
