KIRKUS REVIEW

Format suggests a somewhat younger audience than the story content demands. This is good reading for all ages, -- a might-be-true tale of Erlo, who put his worries about his father at sea behind him and concentrated on solving problems entailed by his uncle's soft heartedness in accepting custody of Bermuda's abandoned pets; and of Stone, native Barmudian, who helped him, and won his chance to work towards his chosen career of medicine. An unusual story, delightfully told.
