BEST SPORTS STORIES: 1947 Edition

A splendid selection of sports stories that wont date. The editors and jury are more in agreement this year on their inclusions, but sports lovers will have their own preferences. The news stories read as well as the magazine tales. Some may feel that the inclusions are over-weighted on baseball (but there's never too much for the fans); football stories are good, but not quite up to the baseball ones; there are some excellent pieces on fights, a good one on golf, a wonderful one on skiing, and so on. Better than last year's collection, on all counts.
