Girls will love this amusing, enthusiastic record of a summer season running a tea room-restaurant on the Maine coast. Two women- and a brother buy a brokendown shack, and with backbreaking work, luck, patience, bribery and intimidation get their ""tavern"" furnished and well-enough equipped to pass the inspectors. This is full of warm, gay anecdotes of burned meals, split trays, eccentric guests, original menus, struggles with butchers, with fisherman, and so on. A light book, but fun.
