SALLY WINS HER WINGS by Margaret Irwin Simmons

SALLY WINS HER WINGS

By

Pub Date: Feb. 23rd, 1943
Publisher: Crowell

Utterly discouraged, just fired from a good job in a smart dress shop on 57th Street, Sally has the good fortune to be picked-up in a restaurant by a grand girl who helps her to a new position on the ""Enterprise"", a national magazine. In this way air-minded Sally is able to earn her extra flying hours and become a commercial pilot. With war-clouds thickening she gets a job training men who go off into the Army or Navy; after Pearl Harbor this isn't enough and she is sent to England for a more important position. A well-turned story showing persistence and courage. Have just received notice of change of title to Selly Wins Her Wings.
