KIRKUS REVIEW

Satisfying girl adventures with boarding school and a mild mystery for the early teens. Linda and Ann, romantic daughters of an actor, welcome Dina Charles, whose father is an impecunious writer, to Crofton School, where Dina knows she cannot afford but one year. She crowds into this year dates and dances and a play, and in addition she plays an important part in averting the threat that hangs over the school. In a sampler and a flag are hidden secrets, which Dima's persistence in studying old diaries ferrets out. Her success, of course, assures her staying on at the school she's learned to love.
