The use and importance of barrage balloons told in the story of Bobo, the newest and largest of all the barrage balloons on the Pacific Coast, who captured an enemy submarine and plane and was cited for bravery. Pictures in gray, blue and black by Tibor Gergely, and story, remind one of Little Toot but both lack the spontaneity of the Gramatky book. Its timeliness is probably its sole claim to any importance.
