KIRKUS REVIEW

The disappearance of Ron Galloway alarms his friends- more than his wife who is suspicious only of his amorous activities- but his death confirms all their worst apprehensions-- he has had an affair with his best friend's wife who is carrying his child. As the investigation remains inconclusive, it is dismissed and it is a little child that leads another friend some years later to the truth. An offbeat situation, to which the expertly disagreeable personal detail lends an unmistakable venom.
